Formed some 4 years ago, the Steve Summers Band plays clubs, festivals and pubs primarily in the South of the UK. The Band's musical philosophy is perhaps best summed up by the title of the title of their first album Lookin’ Back, Movin’ on, which points to a great respect and love of blues, but expands on pure blues with other influences including some strong original writing. However, the band’s music is rooted firmly in the blues, including Steve's own compositions, The band slots perfectly into the power trio genre that would include Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Joe Bonamassa and Rory Gallagher , among others.
