NBS
Allhe members of nbs are either professional or semi-professional musicians. Between them they have played most of the top venues in the country, produced CDs, featured in BBC Radio 1 sessions and supported touring bands such as Killers and Feeder. The band was formed in 1998, when several members of local bands (High Wycombe area) grew tired of the stress of trying to make it big in the music business. The aim was to put the fun back into playing music, whilst still maintaining a professional approach. The age range of the band members is currently 26 39. One of the best male singers you are likely to see in a covers band combined with guitar, bass, drums and female vocals/keyboards allows nbs to perform a wide range of material to an exemplary standard. nbs tunes the set list to the audience they believe it's time to play what the crowd actually wants to hear, a seemingly rare concept. Hence they have played to many varied audiences, ranging from clubs and music venues, schools and weddings through to corporate clients such as Marks and Spencer, CocaCola, Tesco, the Harley Davidson club, Newbury Dog Show and the National Society for Epilepsy. The nbs repertoire covers a wide range of music Robbie Williams, Queen, Take That, Killers, Stereophonics, SClub7, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Franz Ferdinand, Ricky Martin, The Beatles, James Brown, George Michael, Reef, Nickelback, 5ive and Tom Jones to name but a few but with a unique rock feel and a lively approach which makes for a great evening's entertainment. nbs pride themselves on treating every performance with passion and enthusiasm. Many fans find this a refreshing alternative to the standard recital bands. Unlike many covers band, nbs use no pre-recorded music in their live show. Every note heard at an nbs gig is played totally live by the members of the band. The only prerecorded music you may hear is from your own mp3s played through our PA before the nbs set and during the breaks!
